The last vacant lot in the prestigious Shock Hill neighborhood just sold!  Earlier this week, ROCA Holdings, a local developer, purchased the 6.67 acre parcel of land, overlooking Cucumber Patch.  The prime piece of real estate, located at the Shock Hill gondola mid-station, sold for $10.25 million, making it one of the largest land transactions in Breckenridge.  The Shock Hill neighborhood is one of Breckenridge’s most sought after neighborhoods. 

The property had been listed since 2013, after the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts lost the property. The first quarter of 2015 has come and gone and the numbers are continuing to show a stable market.  The Breckenridge residential market saw 114 sales, year-to-date, compared to 115 for the same period as last year.  The Summit County residential market experienced a 8.5 percent gain this year compared to last.  One of the most positive signs that summer should continue it's momentum,  is that the number of pending sales at the end of the first quarter of 2015, exceed 2014 first quarter pending sales by 26 properties!

On your mark, get set, go!  The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is returning to Breckenridge this summer!  Some of the world’s best riders will return to Colorado for the renowned race.  Last year, the races drew more than one million fans and generated $130 million in economic impact for the entire state.  The race will take place from August 17th through the 23rd and will present several new challenges for the competitors.  There will be a new start to the race.  The stunning mountain town of Steamboat Springs will be where things kickoff and new host cities- A-Basin and Copper Mountain will be hosting Stage 2 finish and Stage 3 start.  The end of Stage 4 will take place in Breckenridge with a day followed by individual time trials.   Summit County will be…

Here is the word on the ski conditions at the Breckenridge Ski Resort...we have the best snow in Colorado!!  Breckenridge Ski Resort announced that they will remain 100% open until closing day on April 19th.  Here are some of the impressive stats supporting that Breckenridge is the place to do your spring skiing.

  • Breck is one of five resorts in Colorado that is 100% open (the only one on the 1-70 corridor).  The other 4 are in the Southern Mountains.
  • Breck is the snowiest resort in Colorado, reporting 98% of average snowfall.  They have recorded 294 inches thus far.
  • Breck has the deepest mid-mountain base, measuring at 74 inches

The beginning of February did not see much snow accumulations, but this last storm is leaving its mark. In the last 24 hours, the Breckenridge Ski Resort reported 9 inches of fresh powder. The whole mountain is covered in beautiful white, fluffy powder! The forecast for the last week of February is looking good too. Forecasters are predicting more snow.
