December is a busy time of year in Breckenridge.  The holiday season is in full swing!

Tomorrow, come join in on the fun at the annual Race of the Santas and Reindeer.  Starting at 4:30 p.m., over a 100 holiday enthusiasts will dress up as Santa and race down the historic Main Street, Breckenridge.  You can jump, skip, walk, or run the race!  If you are under 12 years old and want to participate, then register and get a free pair of reindeer antlers to race alongside Santa.  The whole family will have a blast!  The event is for a great cause, raising money for the local Adopt and Angel program.  The proceeds earned will help provide gifts for local families that otherwise would not be able to have Christmas.  At the finish line, enjoy cookies and hot cocoa at the Red, White, and Blue Fire Department.

Following the race, head to the Blue River Plaza for the annual Breckenridge Tree Lighting.  The ceremony will start around 5 p.m., with Santa making an appearance and carolers.  Then the lights will be turned on, transforming Breckenridge into a scene right out of the movies.  Across the street at the Barney Ford Museum, come get your picture taken with Santa.  This is a free event for all ages!

Snow covers the landscape in Breckenridge making it the ideal place to get into the holiday spirit.
