The annual changing of the aspen leaves is always a telltale marker of the transition from summer to fall in the high country. This summer’s heavy rains followed by a dry and mild September has made the golden leaves stay spectacular for weeks on end! Friday night the ski area got its first dusting of snow and the contrast between the white peaks and golden valleys was awe inspiring. Town was bustling all weekend with “leaf peepers”… folks up from the front range to take in the incredible mountain colors.
