July 4th is fun summer event.  Come join in the fun and see how Breckenridge celebrates the holiday in mountain style!

Start your day with the Independence Day 10K Trail Run, 7 am.  This scenic 10k trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing at Carter Park, just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities.

Then annual Breckenridge Parade begins with The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race, 9:30 am.  Come cheer on riders as they embark on a 50 mile journey on the beautiful trails throughout the Breckenridge area.   Following the bikers, the Main Street Parade will begin around 10 am.  Following the parade in the Blue River Plaza, listen to the reading of the Declaration of Independence by George Washington (C.J. Muller).

The fun does not end after the parade!  Have the kids gather up for the Kids Water Fight, a hit every year, enjoy an old time water fight. Kids can join the Red, White & Blue Fire Dept., 12:30-2:30 pm.

As the fun starts to set, join the National Repertory Orchestra for the 4th of July Patriotic Concert, 8:30 pm. For almost 20 years, the Town of Breckenridge and National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) have collaborated to present a Patriotic Concert each July 4th at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge.  Lawn seating will remain free and will not require a ticket- first come, first seated.  Once it is dark, the fireworks will be set off from the Gondola Parking Lot.  They will be visible from most spots around town!
