The annual Breckenridge Rubber Ducky Race is returning this Labor Day weekend. The Summit Foundation is happy to celebrate 27 years of racing. Join thousands of viewers on Saturday, August 30th on the Blue River running through Breckenridge. Enjoy a day of events for the entire family, starting at 11 a.m.Â
There will be three duck races throughout the day. Starting at 1 p.m., the Hudson Auto Source Kids Duck Dash will start. As many as 750 ducks are dropped into the Blue River at the Adams Street Bridge. Peak-A-Boo Toys, Vail Resorts Echo and other businesses will be donating more than 40 prizes for the kids’ race.Â
At 2 p.m., the second rubber ducky race will begin from Main Street Station. This is the Business Battle Duck Race, sponsored by FirstBank of Summit County. The little yellow ducky’s were purchased by organizations and business throughout the county. They will race for a private group snow cat experience on Chicago Ridge, along with several other group prizes.Â
The last of the Rubber Duck Races will kick-off at 3 p.m. The Breckenridge Grand Vacations Great Rubber Duck Race will send about 10,000 little ducks swimming down the river from Main Street Station, racing to the finish line at the Riverwalk Center.  The top 50 ducks or more will be awarded prizes, including winning a week-long vacation at a destination chosen by the winner.Â
Be apart of the duck races by adopting a duck at www.SummitFoundation.org and at other locations throughout Summit County. Don’t miss this Labor Day tradition!
