Starting on Saturday, March 22nd, Spring Break Fever is taking over Breckenridge.  It is one of the largest parties in the Rocky Mountains.  This weekend marks the home stretch for the 2013/2014 ski season.  Kickoff the festivities with this weekend at the GoPro Big Mountain Challenge, taking place on Peak 6.  With the new terrain, steep pitches, and narrow chutes, the International FreeSkiers and Snowboarders association will be testing some of the best free-riders around.  You will be able to view the event from the Kenosha Chairlift and make sure to stop at the finish area at the base of Sixth Sense terrain.

On Sunday, March 23rd, make your way to the base of Peak 7 for the annual Chili Cook-Off.  Some of the best chefs from Summit County will descend upon the ski area in attempt to claim the award for the best chili.  The cook-off is from noon to 2 p.m. on the patio of the Sevens Restaurant.  Tickets will be on sale for $12.  Come indulge in all the chili you can handle and cast your vote on who will be the winner.

For the kids in your group, Rippero's World Cup will also be taking place on March 23rd.  Kids will race down Swinger (located on Peak 8).  The event is ongoing throughout the day.  Just show up at the starting gate, fill out a registration, and let the racing begin.  The first 40 kids to complete the course will receive a special prize from Riperoo.

Grab your sunscreen and come enjoy the spring like temperatures.  Spending time in Breckenridge over Spring Break will be a great time!
