The summer real estate market in Breckenridge and Summit County has outperformed 2014!  The July statistics show us that the Summit County real estate market was still a desirable location to purchase a home.  Following are several statistics provided by Land Title Guarantee Company.

  • From the first of the year through July 2015, the Summit County real estate is up 34% in monetary volume and up 22% in the number of transactions compared to same time frame as 2014. 
  • Year-to-Date for 2015, monetary volume was $656,301,203 with 1204 transactions.
  • In the month of July, there were 162 residential properties that sold, grossing $89,743,100.

The first quarter of 2015 has come and gone and the numbers are continuing to show a stable market.  The Breckenridge residential market saw 114 sales, year-to-date, compared to 115 for the same period as last year.  The Summit County residential market experienced a 8.5 percent gain this year compared to last.  One of the most positive signs that summer should continue it's momentum,  is that the number of pending sales at the end of the first quarter of 2015, exceed 2014 first quarter pending sales by 26 properties!

With the busiest selling season behind us, the real estate market in Summit County and Breckenridge has remained stable. The Breckenridge residential market was down almost 3 percent, year-to-date, compared to 2013.  The Summit County market outperformed 2013 by almost 4 percent.  Below is a snapshot of the year-to-date sales, through September 2014.

Land Title Guarantee Company just released their July 2014 Market Analysis.  A July highlight was that residential sales volume for the month had 158 transactions with $79,171,325 in gross dollar volume.  There were 12 properties that sold for $1 million and above.  The most active price point in July was higher than our previous few months at  $300K to $400K. There were 55 Single family, 103 Multi-family and 14 Vacant land transactions in July.

Overall, the Breckenridge residential real estate market has remained constant compared to 2013.  Currently, year-to-date, the residential market is almost one percent ahead of last year.  July 2014 saw similar sales numbers compared to the same time in 2013.  The number of condos sold was the only property type that saw a decrease in the number of sales.
