Breckenridge and Summit County are very cyclical in nature with regards to real estate sales.  We typically sell 70% of all real estate in the summer months.  Typically from June through October with a final rush at the end before the winter holiday season.

Sellers generally look towards putting their property on the market at the end of ski season when they have finished using or renting for the season.  A Realtor will have to work on getting the property ready for sale and marketing which generally results in the property being launched to market in June.

In Breckenridge, there were 44 residential properties that sold in March 2014.  Currently, there are only 96 residential properties that are under contract.  It is a great time to purchase a mountain home, just in time to spend your summer months in the mountains.

If you thought that your skiing had to end on April 20th, think again!  The Breckenridge Ski Resort announced that they will be staying open another week, until April 27th!  Ullr blessed the resort with record number snowfall.  So come get out and get in an extra week of skiing and snowboarding.

Starting on Saturday, March 22nd, Spring Break Fever is taking over Breckenridge.  It is one of the largest parties in the Rocky Mountains.  This weekend marks the home stretch for the 2013/2014 ski season.  Kickoff the festivities with this weekend at the GoPro Big Mountain Challenge, taking place on Peak 6.  With the new terrain, steep pitches, and narrow chutes, the International FreeSkiers and Snowboarders association will be testing some of the best free-riders around.  You will be able to view the event from the Kenosha Chairlift and make sure to stop at the finish area at the base of Sixth Sense terrain.
